The Résidence 1+2 is pleased to announce that the project “Algues maudites” by the photographer Alice Pallot has been selected by the jury of the call for projects launched by the Résidence 1+2 and the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles/Paris! 

Graduated from National Superior School of Visuals Arts – La Cambre in Bruxelles, she will carry out a creation residency from June 1 to 30, 2022 in Toulouse.

Alice Pallot is fascinated by natural phenomena, metamorphoses and silent realities. Her work questions and bears witness to the impact that human beings have today on their environment, but also aspires to delicately capture the air of time.

Alice Pallot creates universes with hybridization themes through her series of photographs. These visual encounters, stemming from ecological questions that emerge as signals in the active social life of the young artist, allow her to use photography to highlight ambiguities of a new and future era.

As part of her residency, Alice wishes to highlight the transformation of a landscape by the harmful actions of human beings on the environment by creating a “sick” artificial pond in order to photographically capture a micro-system in rebirth.
