Anaïs Ondet is the winner of the Hors les murs #7 residency in Castelnau d'Estrétefonds.
Castelnau d’Estrétefonds, a former village that has become a small town in the north of the Toulouse conurbation, has been experiencing profound changes for the past thirty years that are inexorably changing its identity. Castelnau d’Estrétefonds is located between a dormitory town and a major logistics centre, but it nevertheless retains markers of an ancestral rurality, including a terroir of undeniable agricultural wealth.
For Anaïs Ondet, through this two-month territorial residency, it will be a matter of documenting and testifying to this still present rurality by going to meet the different protagonists while surveying the territory in search of a sensitive topography of the rural landscapes.
Anaïs Ondet graduated the ETPA in Toulouse in 2018. Her personal work focuses on the environment and the image-memory ratio. Through her series, she explores the notions of loss and memory. More recently, she has focused on ecological issues that claim an activist look associated with her artistic practice.
