Creative residency "Space(s) and sport, the body put to the test" at Cité de l'Espace (Toulouse).
Call for applications open until April 13, 2024 at 7 p.m.
The 1+2 Factory Residency #15 is taking place at the Cité de l’espace on the theme of “Space(s) and sport, the body put to the test” from May 13 to June 30, 2024, in several creative sequences, followed by a restitution exhibition in situ from mid-July 2024.
The aim of the call for entries is to select a photographer who will offer a contemporary author’s vision of the theme “Space(s) and sport, the body put to the test”. Space can be understood in its various meanings: universe, cosmos, milieu, distance, surface of an expanse, lapse of time. The word sport can also be approached from different angles: physical activity, effort, physical and mental commitment, amateur game, competition.
The future winner will be selected on the basis of the quality of his or her previous work, but above all on the relevance, originality and feasibility of his or her project in relation to the theme.
Applications must be sent via WeTransfer, as a single document in PDF format, to the following address: philippeguionie@orange.fr until April 13, 2024 at 7 p.m. The winner will be selected by a jury of leading figures from the institutional, cultural and scientific worlds.
The residency will be the subject of a round-table discussion and screening at the Résidence 1+2 colloquium at the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum Les Abattoirs, on Saturday October 19, 2024.
