Through a process of photographic experimentation, the artist captures the imprint of the present from several angles, using different sensors and settings to produce images of varying typology.
The arrangement of the photographic sensors presents different points of view of the same object, at the same time. The results are presented side by side. In this way, we have several views of the same scene, but the difference in viewpoints creates doubt and uncertainty as to the particular layout of the scene.
The project was developed during a residency at the CIMI (Centre International de Mathématiques et Informatique) in Toulouse. The structure brings together members of the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse (IMT), the Institut de Recherche et Informatique de Toulouse (IRIT) and six teams from the Laboratoire d’Analyse et d’Architecture des Systèmes (LAAS). These three units are research laboratories under the supervision of the CNRS and components of the University of Toulouse.
